Cleaning and lubrication: Before installation, ensure the seat tube is clean. Apply a small amount of grease to the clamp's bolt threads to prevent jamming and ensure smooth tightening.

Positioning: Most riders position the lever so that it faces backward or in line with the rear frame for a cleaner look and to avoid snagging on clothing.
Tightness: Adjust the nut so that the lever is secure when closed but without excessive force. If too loose, the seat will slide down while riding.
