The bicycle hydraulic brake lever is a part of the hydraulic brake system, using oil to transmit force from the brake lever to the brake pads, helping the wheel to slow down or stop effectively. It is often equipped on high-performance bicycles such as mountain bikes (MTB), racing bikes (Road) and street bikes (Touring) because of its strong, smooth and highly accurate braking force.
Operating principle
When you squeeze the brake lever, pressure will be created in the system, pushing hydraulic oil through the pipes.
This oil acts on the piston, pushing the brake pads (brake pads) against the brake disc, creating friction to slow or stop the wheel.
